Little Colden just turned six months old, and this is one of my FAVorite times to photograph a baby — they’re just full of dimples, smiles, and the way they love to play with their little toes warms me down to mine! I LOVE this first one especially, from the top of his soft fuzzy head right down to the little dimples on his elbow:

Here he is, in the chair that his sweet mommy rocks him to sleep in every night. And you can see that this is one of his favorite places in the whole wide world.

And you can tell he’s going to only get cuter as he gets older… just like his big brother…

It’s hard to believe that six months have passed since I photographed sweet Lily as a newborn. She’s changed so much, but the features of her delicate face are just as beautiful. I loved photographing her again in this decorative bowl, because it accentuates just how much she’s grown in such a short time. Here she is as a newborn,

Baby Kinsley is simply beautiful, just like her mommy. The most amazing moment happened as I captured the two of them together. Just as I asked her mommy to give me a little smile, sweet Kinsley broke out in a gorgeous smile all her own!! What a beautiful moment, captured forever.

I love these warm days of early summer. The sun takes its time rising, and shadows are long and take on a personality all their own. I had a lot of fun with these cuties – and you can see how much the little one looks up to his big brother!

It’s so funny how people come into your life. Several seasons ago, Rosey and I would scream with joy from the stands together, watching our sons play their hearts out on the baseball field. Time went by, and her life unfolded in beautiful ways. She and Jon have become engaged, and remembering that I was a photographer, she asked if I would photograph her wedding.

I can’t even remember what I initially said – the very idea terrified and thrilled me all at the same time. What an incredible honor to be asked such a question. An absolute honor. I was overwhelmed, and since I had never taken on anything like that before, I hesitated. Big time. But she was strong in her faith in me, and I am deeply honored to say that I now look forward to photographing my first Wedding in August. And I couldn’t be more thrilled. I finally met Jon for the first time this weekend, as we had a BLAST capturing the deep love they share. Their joy just being in each other’s presence is contagious, and their love shines through in absolutely every image we captured. See for yourself…

Six month old babies are a blast to photograph. You can dress them up in all sorts of adorable accessories, and place them just about anywhere. As you peek from behind the camera, they’ll charm the socks off of you. Siena happens to be one of the happiest little babies ever. Her smile can light up your whole world.

Her big brother Chase cracks me up. He’s all boy – wide open, adventurous, and always motoring! We had fun at a beautiful park, feeding ducks and running around. And I there I was, running right along with him. And this is how I captured the joy in his heart.

The best part about Chase is the love he has for his baby sister. And with him, she lights up all over again.

I love photography, but I adore Newborn Photography. And I have the best job in the world, because I get to work with sweet babies like little Claire. She has an incredibly peaceful nature about her, and a mother and father who love her with all of their heart. It doesn’t get any better than this.

This family is particularly special to me. Kendall is my Cole’s best little friend – I smile every time he says her name, because he calls her “Candle”. She lives right down the street from us, and his favorite pastime is going to the playground with her. Her toes are always painted, and she has long hair with little baby curls still hanging on to the edges. She’s the sweet little girl featured as the last revolving image on my Home Page, and I think she’s just beautiful.

We’ve been talking about this Session since the wintertime, when they decided it was finally time to cut those sweet baby curls off. She’ll be donating her hair, the first time it will ever be cut, to “Locks for Love”. Her heart’s as big as her smile.

I had fun catching the sunshine in those tender locks of love, so her mommy and daddy could always remember how soft they were and how they framed her sweet face.

Her little brother is Blake – full of life and spunk. He had a blast, chasing me so he could give me a rockin “High Five”!

Catherine is beautiful. Her passion is horses, her spirit is strong. She’s a tomboy at heart, and a gentle and loving soul. She’s one of my favorite little girls. Her big brother is my Godson, and their family is our family.

Last weekend was her First Holy Communion, and as I gazed at her beautiful face in the pew in front of me, I suddenly panicked that I had forgotten my camera. It was pouring, and I didn’t care – I slipped out the back at the end of the service, jumped over puddles in my high heels, ran home and met up with them at their house, just in time to grab a few shots before she had a chance to change.

I’m so glad I did. Look at this beautiful face. I love you, Catherine.
