Lucy

October 29, 2010

Meet the newest member of our family! She’s a rescue – about a year old and V E R Y happy to have a family who loves her. I don’t know her background – all I know is that she’s a LOVE. The boys picked her, named her, and love on her every minute they can.

Yup – that would be a smile!!

She waits patiently at the door for the boys to come home, and this is why. To her, there’s nothing better in the world. :)

A Mini-Holiday Session

October 26, 2010

The Fall is by far the busiest time of year for Bella Mi Photography. Not only is the Calendar jam packed with Regular, Newborn and First Year Sessions, it’s the time of year for mini-Holiday Sessions for those who simply want to focus on capturing that perfect image for their Holiday Card. This is one such Session, and I’d say we got it!! I always love spending time with Tison and his baby sister. You can just feel the love he shares for her, and I LOVE how she lights up from the inside of her heart every time she’s with him!!! S1

This one may not be a Christmas Card candidate, but I just adore it. What a beautiful face.

Hailey & Enzo

October 23, 2010

Hailey&Enzo
I had the amazing opportunity to work with a gorgeous young woman and capture the beautiful bond she shares with her horse. As I started selecting my favorites to post on the Bella Blog, I realized there were just too many that I wanted to share. The best way I knew to share them all was to post an abbreviated version of her Slideshow – just click on the link to view, and you’ll feel their friendship and the warmth of the glowing sun as it slowly set during our amazing time together.

Colin

October 20, 2010

I recently had the pleasure of capturing sweet Colin when he was still in his mommy’s belly (see “Beautiful Anticipation” from the Blog Archives). And here he is – a gift from God perfectly adorned with 10 fingers and 10 toes. Such a happy little soul – I just loved being able to capture one of his very first sweet smiles (and a glimmer of a teeny tiny dimple)…

Wyatt at 9 months

October 19, 2010

Blog followers will remember sweet little Wyatt. He needed surgery at only six months of age to correct a malformed skull plate that would eventually affect his brain development. This is the third opportunity I’ve had to document his first year of life, and the first that I’ve seen him since the surgery. He’s still the happy little fella I instantly loved the first time I met him. With big brown eyes and an infectious smile. What a strong spirit.

Ashley

October 15, 2010

This little girl is so beautiful with her big brown eyes. We enjoyed exploring historic downtown Norcross together, and I loved her spirit, energy, soulful expressions, and the way she lit up when playing with her mommy and daddy.

Alexander

October 10, 2010

The moment I laid eyes upon this adorable little boy my heart just melted. He’s so striking with his gorgeous head of hair and long lashes, and he was such a joy to work with. Both he and his beautiful mommy.

Ava… so many looks,

October 6, 2010

every one of them GORGEOUS!!!!

I arrived and there she was – her hair loose and free and amazing. Her mommy was trying to contain it with a hairband, but Ava didn’t want one. She waited patiently as the finishing touches were placed on her little toenails, and the moment they were done, she wiggled away, not thinking twice about whether they’d smudge. That’s what I love about kids. They have a free spirit. We can try to contain it, but I love it when I can catch a glimpse of their little hearts and capture it forever.

We never did get the hairband in until the end of the Session, and I was happy it worked out that way. Because I don’t know about you, but I’ve tried a gazillion times to get my hair to do that wavy doo-dad thing around my face to frame it like that, and I’ve never been able to do it. And here, on this beautiful child, it just does it naturally. She’s somethin’.

Garrett

October 5, 2010

I love being such a special part of a child’s first year of life. Garrett was adorable as a newborn, and now as he’s growing bigger every day, his chubby little cheeks and smooshy lips just wipe me out. I love his eyes – they remind me so of his big brother, the Fireman (see the July Posting entitled “A Future Hero”).

Family

October 4, 2010

I primarily photograph children and newborns, and love every minute of it. But it’s really fun to break out every once in a while and totally shift gears. This family is very special to me, and one of my very first clients. Their kids are spread out from Georgia to Nevada, and when they all came home for a summertime visit I was honored to capture their fun spirit and love for one another.
